Sister James is an four-piece indie rock band comprised of members from four different Brooklyn acts, joining together to leave their own unique mark on the Northeastern DIY/Indie Rock scene. Dual songwriters Quinn McGovern (Active Bird Community) and Ben Carbone (Lizard Pizza) offer distinct yet cohesive takes on lyricism and mood that is always in motion, driven by the hard hitting rhythm section of Daniel Sweeney (Ghost King) and Pete Spengeman (God Tiny).
